Returning citizen and entrepreneur Tanaine Jenkins speaks about the need for greater access to job licensing for formerly convicted persons.

Re-entry Expert Tanaine Jenkins was invited to take the steps with Desmond Meade and Neil Volz for National Advocacy Day 2022. There are more than 40 occupational licenses that returning citizens do not have access to regardless of their charge. Having access to these licenses would provide the opportunity to earn a living wage and reduce the recidivism rate across the country.
