WHO IS TANAINE? 

Tanaine Jenkins is a nationally recognized recidivism strategist, TEDx speaker, author, consultant, and organizer who uses lived experience to help transform systems and create stronger pathways to second chances. Through keynote speaking, strategic consulting, and advocacy, she helps organizations and audiences rethink reentry, challenge the barriers that contribute to recidivism, and move from good intentions to meaningful action.

In 2026, Tanaine received the Law and Justice Award at the National Returning Citizens Conference in recognition of her leadership, service, and contributions to system-impacted people. She is also one of six Americans featured in an upcoming feature-length documentary, scheduled for release in late 2026, highlighting people who refuse to let their past define their future and are boldly rewriting their stories.

As Director of the Florida Safety Coalition, Tanaine brings directly impacted people, advocates, community leaders, and decision-makers together to advance systemic change.
